The Scoop for Oct. 4, 2018

It’s easy to forget that Jeff Bridges grew up in Hollywood. As a matter of fact, he would visit his dad, Lloyd Bridges, on the set of his movies. Turns out, he kept getting kicked off the set. So he was like most kids who visit their parents work. Super cute for your parents, super annoying for everyone else. Got it.

Looks like the Lethal Weapon tv show has some more changes coming with this announcement from star Damon Wayans: He’s leaving the series in December. This has nothing to do with getting a new co-star between Seasons 1 and 2. Nope, he’s just getting older and working longer and he wants to slow down.

If you follow Will Smith, you know he’s really active on social media. And now Will has a new internet challenge: the #PiggyBackChallenge. Basically, you have your child, regardless of age, ride on your shoulders. Somehow I don’t think my daughter, well, any of my kids really, I don’t think they would be into that. #thanksbutnothanksWill

Kate Hudson is now a mother of three. Kate and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, welcomed their first child together Tuesday, though the news just became public yesterday. On her Instagram Hudson shared the little one’s name: Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa. She also shared how they came up with the name: “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.” Ok, Kate. Can I just make a suggestion? If you’re going to call your daughter Ronnie, maybe spell it a little closer to how you pronounce it. That kid is going to go throught life with people calling her Ran-ee, Rainy, almost everything but Ronnie. Just a thought. But hey, the deal is done so you know, good luck.
