This weekend, director Martin Scorsese made some folks upset when he said that the highly successful Marvel superhero movies were, quote, “not cinema” and compared them to theme parks. Lucky for us we have Samuel L. Jackson to respond.
“Everybody doesn’t like his stuff either. Everybody has an opinion”
We get it Martin. You’re mad those movies are making metric boatloads of money and your “real cinema” isn’t doing as good. Settle down.
This seems like a fairly bad idea, but hey, it’s Hollywood so it’s probably going to happen. But the son of the man who created “Gilligan’s Island” says he’s close to getting a movie version off the ground . . . and he wants Kevin Hart to play Gilligan. Why? Because, quote, “He’s little so the Skipper can call him ‘Little Buddy.’
Can we just not have this happen please?
Remember Andy Dick? Yeah well, he got beat up by his Uber Eats driver.
Do you really need to know any more?
