The Scoop for Sept. 10, 2018

So we have a new Miss America. Miss New York Nia Franklin won last night. Serious question. Are pageants still a thing? I mean, clearly since there just was one. But are people really into these things?

The U of I welcomed former President Barack Obama last week, but here are some places the former President wasn’t always welcomed. When he was a teenager, Barak and his friends got kicked out the Happiest Place on Earth. Yep. He got booted from Disneyland. But, on the way out, the guard told him he was “Welcome to come back at any time.” Just not right now apparently.

Drew Barrymore’s break out role was in ET and that role has apparently followed her through her life for years. She said that she sent a bunch of pictures of her daughter to Steven Spielberg because her daughter, quote, “…looked like E. T.”
Should have known when you named your daughter Elliot.

Bonus Scoopage:
Olivia Newton-John revealed yesterday on Australian TV that she’s now battling cancer for the third time. But she’s not letting it get her down. She’s still fighting. Her husban is helping by growing pot. Yep. She’s using marrijuana to help her sleep and to help with the pain. I gotta admit, with this being her third round, her attitude is amazing.
