The Scoop for Sept. 22, 2020

Thanks to Twitter and a new Uber Eats commercial, we get Mark Hamill and Patrick Stewart fighting over how to say “Tomato”.
And then it get’s weird.
Mark says he is his own daddy…
You know what, after Star Wars Episodes 1 – 3, I wouldn’t rule anything out.

Ellen is back and she’s addressing the toxic work environment her show apparently had. She said they’ve made changes and things will get better. Ellen also addressed the stories that she isn’t the ‘nice’ person you see on TV. And she says, yeah, she is that person you see on TV.
I mean, of course she’s going to say that. What is she going to say? No, they’re right. I don’t like people and I get off on making others feel bad? So, for what it’s worth, Ellen is back.

While Ellen denies the rumors about her behavior, Johnny Depp is leaning into them. He says that he doesn’t mind when people call him crazy, because some of his heroes were, too.
Johnny, look. There’s crazy, like “he’s so creative, he’s on another level, he’s crazy” and then there’s actual mental disorder that should be treated seriously by medical professionals.
