The Scoop for Sept. 24, 2018

Well, that didn’t take long. When Alex Trebek returned for a new round of “Jeopardy” last week, he brought a new beard with him and left it up to the audience on whether he should keep it or not. And it turns out the winning vote was cast by his wife. Because she wanted him clean shaven, so the beard is gone.
Wait, so you’re saying the voting was rigged? That’s not cool. Bring back the beard.

One of the costs of fame, is well, being famous. And when you’re famous, people want to take your picture, which doesn’t sound like a big deal. But if you’re just trying to have a day, it can be annoying. Like this weekend when Hilary Duff was being followed by a photographer. She didn’t freak out, she just asked for some space.
Honestly, if I had photographers following me around, I’d be annoyed too. Mostly because I’d be afraid they’d catch me picking my nose or adjusting myself. No one needs to see that.

With the spooky month upon us, one of your favorite nightmares is heading to your TV. Yep, thanks to The Goldbergs, Freddy Krueger is back. He’ll be on the Goldbergs Halloween episode. And Beverly offers to set Freddy up with one of the ladies in her roll-a-dex. Now that’s a show I would watch. The Bachelor with Freddy Krueger? Or an all movie villain edition of Dancing With The Stars. I think I’m on to something here. Someone get me Mark Burnett on the phone.

Bonus Scoopage:
Hey look! A Hollywood couple breaking up without a boat load of drama.
Justin Theroux has only now broken his silence on what went down with Jennifer Aniston. Justin made it clear that he is not one to dwell on things like their separation and quashed the idea that there was any drama at all in why they decided to split up. He explained: “The good news is that was probably the most — I’m choosing my words really carefully — it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity … neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other.” Yeah, throwing hatchets is usually frowned upon in almost any proceeding.
